My sister

Everyone had made their share of mistakes in life. I just like everyone has. I also have a little sister who is 17 and  she seems to keep making mistakes and not learning from them even when I worn her of the mistake she is about to make and the consequences of these actions. Its like it goes through one ear and out the other! It breaks my heart every time she messes up because i try and try to help her and to get through to her that the lifestyle she is living now isn't going anywhere. How can I get through to her? i just hope she grows up and realizes fast before its too late! Any suggestions on how to handle this?

  1. I'm not even trying to be sarcastic with this, but the first half of your second blog post probably applies here, but to her. I have family members that this applies to as well.
I'd like to be able to give positive advice on how to deal with a situation like this, but if she's the headstrong type, nor will she listen or learn, you have to hope for the best. Just try to hang in there and not give up on her.

  2. I know exactly what you are talking about. I have a younger sister that is fourteen and she acts like she knows everything and when I try to help her out she never listens. I don't know if its just because of the age that she's at or if she just really doesn't care.

  3. I have a younger brother myself. Some things my parents tell him, it just doesn't hit him in the right part of the brain. Its a waste of time if I tell him something when he already doesn't listen to our parents. But I still try to talk to him. He's spoil. I know what you are coming from.

  4. I understand where you are coming from as well! I have a 13 year old sister who thinks of herself as being 18! She never listens to me even when she makes mistakes like I made!

  5. I think this is just a common a occurence with younger siblings, my sister is the exact same way. I think you just have to be there to listen to them love them, because that's what they need most from you.
